I’m not really one for making New Year’s Resolutions; I’ve done them in the past but they’re often abandoned before the New Year has finished being seen in.
But this year I’m determined it will be different. This year my resolution isn’t going to revolve around losing weight or eating better or sleeping more or keeping the house tidy. This year’s resolution is going to be: finish all those projects I started.
I’m frequently overcome by enthusiasm for a new project: a patchwork quilt, learning to crochet, re-decorating my lounge room, making clothes from scratch. I even go so far as to buy the materials (and sometimes I even start the project). But rarely are they completed.
In order to avoid that problem this year I’ve decided to introduce a new post called Rescue This. Once a month I will post about a project that I have ‘rescued’ from the depths of my storage spaces and actually finished. I hope you’ll all hold me to it so that 2014 becomes the first time I manage to pull off a resolution!

This isn’t actually my clutter. I wish it was, how cool are some of those things?!
Do you make resolutions? How do you go with them?
Great idea. So what’s up first?
I’m starting out small with making a table cloth for a friend – I was hoping to get to it this week, but the heat is working against me!!
