I’ve had a love/hate relationship with blogs for years.

I love them, because I am constantly being amazed and inspired by the many, MANY, wonderful blogs that exist in the blogosphere. And I hate them because they make it (and their lives) look so easy.

I’ve tried blogging before (exhibit A my wedding plans ) and while I loved the experience, it got really hard staying on the one subject all the time, especially when so much else was going on in my life.

And so I’ve decided to change the whole approach. Instead of trying to focus on one thing about my life that might interest you all, I’m just going to assume that the insane (wonderful) insane variety of things going on in my life will keep you all riveted.

To give you a breakdown of what you might expect, here’s where I am right now.

I’m a married stay-at-home part-time step-mum to two children, one of whom has been diagnosed with autism. I run my own business, am studying a PhD (which I’m considering taking a break from in order to go back to uni to do a diploma of education to allow me to be a kindergarten teacher), while trying to kick start a writing career. I also have grand plans to re-decorate our house (on an extremely limited budget) while completely overhauling the garden and attempting as large an amount of self-sufficiency as my tiny suburban backyard (and not-so-onboard husband) allow. Oh, and we plan on expanding our family at some point, too.

To that end, you can expect to see anything from “fun activities for the kids” to “meals on a budget” to “help! my house won’t stay clean” and “eep! what weird disease does my peach tree have?”. Hopefully the crazy ride is worthwhile – I look forward to sharing the journey with you.
